Carole lives in North York with her husband. Two daughters live in Kitchener - one with a husband, two children and a hamster and the other with the family chihuahua. Daughter #3 lives in Ottawa and works as an animator supervisor at the Wild Krats Studio. Carole is a pastor’s wife and is often called upon to speak at ladies' meetings where she is happy to talk about her various art forms.
She is the inventor of a unique little butterfly magnet. Carole and her husband, Werner had worked in a pastoral role in Austria for a few years, and when they returned, they had to start from scratch. She silk-screened the butterflies and assembled them, while Werner sold them. For two years, they lived off the proceeds from those butterfly magnets.
This adventure has given rise to many inspiring talks. She is still available to speak at various kinds of meetings.
